COOK

PGL TRADING LIMITED is a fine dining establishment located in Auckland's North Shore. As our restaurant continues to flourish, we are currently seeking to expand our culinary team by welcoming three cook to join us. You will be working for a minimum of 30 hours per week on the roaster, and you will be responsible for:

Job Description:

• Help the chef plan how much and what kind of ingredients to buy, and check their quality.
• Prepare ingredients and help with cooking tasks.
• Adjust and control cooking equipment like ovens to the right temperature.
• Support the chef in training kitchen staff and helping hire new team members.
• Add seasoning to dishes as needed based on customer preferences.
• Serve cooked food nicely on plates or in containers.
• Keep track of ingredient supplies to prevent running out or wasting food.
• Join discussions with the chef and manager to help plan the menu and dishes.
• Do other tasks as asked by the head chef or manager.

About you:

• Minimum two years of relevant experience required OR
• NZQF Level 4 or above qualification.
• Physically fit with a clear criminal record.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
