He Angitūtanga / The Opportunity

We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team at one of our Business & Industry sites in Mt Wellington, Auckland. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality meals in line with our food safety and health standards, while contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of meals, ensuring quality and portion control.
• Receive, store, and rotate kitchen supplies, maintaining accurate stock levels.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Support menu development to meet dietary and cultural needs.
• Assist with coaching team members and contribute to a collaborative kitchen culture.
  
  

He Kōrero Mōu / About You

• Hold an NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery (or equivalent) and NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168).
• Proven experience in a similar kitchen environment with strong food safety knowledge.
• A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Physically fit, reliable, and able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook.
• Experience in menu planning, stock control, and working within budgetary constraints is a plus.
