The Technical Data Business Analyst (TDBA) Chapter at One NZ bridges the gap between business requirements and technical solutions by developing dependable data product solutions. As a TDBA in Membership, you will shape the future of the Loyalty program by translating business needs into actionable data solutions and driving high-quality insights. Your skills will drive real business impact and support us in delivering meaningful, personalized rewards to our customers.
Ko Tō Mahi – What You’ll Do
- Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.
- Support Data Engineers and Architects with data solutions and pipeline design to meet business requirements.
- Identify source data, source platform(s) and logical flow, clarify required fields, then document the required artefacts.
- Document knowledge gained for others to benefit from in future work.
- Support the Data Governance function, ensuring data governance framework is followed including policies and standards.
- Collaborate to develop and maintain a data catalog with clear metadata documentation.
- Help monitor and report on data governance metrics and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to data management and governance.
- Support the Product Owner to manage stakeholders across using clear written and verbal communication.
- Support the Product Owner to assess the desirability (customer value), viability (business value) and feasibility (realistic to build at scale and speed) of new use cases.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering and data warehousing principles, techniques and methodologies.
- Effective relationship and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Ability to document processes and findings with clarity and precision.
- Understanding of Kimball methodologies.
- Experience in a Scrum environment.
- Any experience in on-premises and cloud environments like AWS or Azure would be beneficial
