Join our amazing team as a Chef at Victoria University of Wellington. You'll be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality food that meets the needs of students, staff, and visitors. You'll ensure all food production aligns with health, safety, and food safety regulations while delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present meals to a high standard, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards, including cleaning and waste management.
• Manage stock control, including receiving, storing, and rotating supplies.
• Develop menus that cater to diverse dietary and cultural needs.
• Coach and support kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  
  

He Kōrero Mōu / About You

• Hold an NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery (or equivalent) and have experience in a similar role.
• Thrive under pressure with a positive, professional attitude.
• A strong team player who can also work independently.
• Physically fit, reliable, and committed to high standards of hygiene and safety.
• Excellent communication skills and a flexible, can-do approach.
