Ko tō tūranga – your role

The Generative AI Engineer will be instrumental in translating cutting-edge AI research into practical, scalable solutions for internal use. The focus will be on developing and deploying generative AI models that enhance our business operations and improve system functionalities.

Ko Tō Mahi – What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and implement Gen AI solutions that align with One New Zealand strategic AI and Data objectives.
• Adapt and tailor AI models to meet the specific needs of our internal projects, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing company systems
• Utilize APIs to integrate AI capabilities with existing tools and platforms within our technology ecosystem.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and
• translate them into AI-driven solutions.
• Develop automated workflows using AI solutions.
• Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to address various
• business challenges.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and incorporate them into

Na Tōu Rourou - What You’ll Bring

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java
• Experience with machine learning frameworks
• Expertise in building multiagent AI systems
• In-depth knowledge of API development and integration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their AI services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong capability in integrating complex AI systems within existing technological frameworks
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects
