What You’ll Do
As the People & Culture Advisor, you will support the business across multiple locations (NZ, Canada & UK). You will foster a work environment where all our people, particularly People Leaders, feel supported, engaged, and aligned with Arlo’s purpose, values, and strategic direction. You will achieve this through the delivery of effective HR processes and exceptional relationship management. This will contribute to enhanced employee engagement, high retention of talented employees, and a positive impact on overall company success.

Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor and consult with leaders to proactively identify needs, understand challenges, and provide coaching to achieve outcomes aligned with business objectives and company culture.
- Implement policies and procedures to drive business goals and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with HR legislation, regulations, and company policies.
- Resolve employee relations issues, promoting a fair and consistent approach.
- Oversee and manage HR documentation and records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information in the HRIS.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
- Analyse results of employee surveys and recommend strategies to enhance employee engagement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes.
- Guide managers on performance feedback, goal setting, and development plans.
- Contribute to People & Culture projects as required, such as diversity and inclusion initiatives, wellness programs, and organisational culture projects.
- Role model Arlo’s values and set clear expectations by giving precise and honest feedback and promptly address any performance or behaviour issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field - preferred by not essential
- Proven experience in HR roles with a focus on employee relations and HR administration - minimum of 3 years
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law - bonus points for knowledge of Canadian or UK employment legislation
- Excellent communication skills: asks questions, is transparent, keeps people updated
- Strong relationship-building and relationship-management skills
- Action driven: focuses on core responsibilities, is proactive, shows initiative and delivers on objectives and timelines
- High integrity: always operates with the best interests of the company in mind, handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion - bonus points for previous experience with Employment Hero
- Experience in technology companies, HRIS administration, or workflow projects is a bonus
