You can work in-clinic and/or online as a regular team member, delivering brief, consultation-based services to general practice team members and general practice patients.
You will provide evidence-based clinical assessments and interventions for individuals as they work towards building their well-being.
We are looking for multiple HIPs to join our team, all across the motu - not just in the Auckland, Bay of Plenty & Canterbury region.

Our ideal HIP will:
- Be registered health professional under either the HPCA Act or Social worker Act
- Be an experienced clinician that works well in a multidisciplinary team of GPs, nurses and other health professionals
- Enjoy continuous development & contribute to our ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Fully registered under the Health Practitioner Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act 2003 with a scope of practice that is appropriate to working as a mental health and addiction clinician, e.g. nurse, psychologist, psychotherapist, occupational therapist
- A fully registered alcohol and drug and/or gambling practitioner member of the Addiction Practitioners’ Association Aotearoa – New Zealand (DAPAANZ)
- A fully registered Social Worker
- A full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) who meets the criteria and has been accredited by the NZAC to work within the mental health and addictions scope of practice. Accredited NZAC Counsellors will hold an annual health subscription certificate issued by NZAC.
