In this role you will assist all factory teams to ensure the availability and reliability of all mechanical plant on site, to achieve the required level of performance as specified in the Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute maintenance tasks (scheduled and emergent) relevant to mechanical equipment on site.
  • Implementation and development of routine maintenance checks and associated standard maintenance procedures.
  • Ensures equipment, materials and tools are on hand for work execution.Reports resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework or deferred maintenance as required.
  • Assist with the development, and application of safe and practical machinery isolation practices.
  • Day to day supervision of the area of responsibility – maintaining good employee relations that encourage productivity, motivation, engaging culture and positive morale.
  • Ensure quality management systems are in place and strictly adhered to.

Key Attributes

  • Proven maintenance fitter experience in an automated manufacturing environment
  • Qualified Mechanical Technician - Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Proactive problem-solving approach to work with awareness of cost control
  • Flexible to support day & night shifts
  • Full NZ driver licence class 1
  • Ability to work well under pressure with time management skills
