Our Retail Operations and Transformation team maintain a strong focus on SAP support, in-store operations, and checkouts across all three retail banners. Monitoring a range of important metrics, the team are also involved in new store openings, ownership changes, and various business initiatives.

Te Tūranga – About The Role

We’ll be extending our SAP deployment to 102 4 Square stores to drive greater efficiency, automation, and consistency across operations, while continuing to support a tailored customer experience. For the next 18 months, you’ll be leading a team supporting the roll out.

As a Senior Retail Operations Specialist responsible for the engagement, education, planning, developing and deployment of new solutions to member stores. This includes supporting instore operational activities, identifying improvements across BAU ensuring agile projects are scoped and implemented with appropriate change management activities.

Some Of Your Responsibilities With Will Be To

  • Play a key role in Pre, During and Post store engagements, identifying and recording customer focused opportunities and agreed actions.
  • Manage a portfolio of stores, ensuring that KPI’s are achieved across SAP and other operational KPIs.
  • Ensure consistent and improved services are provided across Change of ownership coaching and cutover activities, New Store/refurbishment programme and other agile key business critical projects.
  • Regularly Coach team members and stores using expertise and knowledge on supported Retail Operations processes to improve overall performance in a customer centric way.
  • Provide the Owner Operator with a balanced overview of the Operational Compliance aspects of the business through effective use of KPI driven support visits and making recommendations for opportunities for improvement and adding value to their business.

To nail this role you’ll have proven experience in retail operations and systems, with a natural ability to identify and seek improvement in ways of working. As a natural logical thinker, you’ll have sound numerical reasoning skills and have the desire to drive continuous improvement for the competitive advantage of our member stores.

You’ll Also Have

  • Robust SAP Knowledge
  • An agile mindset to allow the business to pivot to the changing needs of the market
  • Excellent planning and communication skills – both written and verbal, with a great ability to collaborate with others, clearly articulate ideas/concepts and effectively present to others.
  • Experience in operating as a trusted advisor to senior management, influencing decision-making or business outcomes.
