About the Organisation

Our client is a New Zealand public sector agency delivering a critical technology and business transformation programme. With a strong emphasis on collaboration and delivering impactful results, the organisation is seeking a Technical Analyst to help drive successful implementation across data, testing, and compliance workstreams.

About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term role supporting an internal project team and external technology supplier through a complex system implementation. You'll bring your technical know-how and stakeholder skills to ensure data and systems are integrated effectively, testing phases are smooth and robust, and security and compliance needs are met.
You’ll be hands-on across all aspects of data migration, user acceptance testing, integration coordination, and compliance documentation—supporting a fit-for-purpose, modern technology environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end data migration activities including mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
  • Support and coordinate systems integration with vendors across multiple platforms
  • Lead UAT and non-functional testing phases to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements
  • Document and support compliance activities including C&A, ATO, Pen Testing, and Cloud Risk Assessments
  • Champion internal policy development and work with project and tech teams to embed security and standards
Skills and Experience Required
  • Skilled in managing data migration and systems integration across large transformation projects
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Business Central, Power BI, and Dataverse
  • Strong understanding of Azure services and cloud-based solution deployment
  • Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
  • Confident using DevOps tools to manage user stories and testing phases
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills—able to translate between business and technical audiences
  • Experience working with financial data and/or reporting/visualisation solutions is a bonus
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and cultural agility, including commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
