As a Lecturer for our Diploma in Teaching (Primary) Level 7, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of primary education within NZSE. This full-time position is based in the heart of Auckland CBD, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality vocational training to aspiring primary school teachers.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | The opportunity
As a Lecturer for our Diploma in Teaching (Primary) Level 7, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of primary education within NZSE. This full-time position is based in the heart of Auckland CBD, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality vocational training to aspiring primary school teachers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging content, industry-relevant lectures online and face to face delivery (via Canvas LMS and MS Teams)
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and professional development
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of primary teaching curriculum and course materials – aligned to NZQA standards
- Engage in Research and scholarly events
- Mentor and guide students, fostering their growth and preparing them for successful careers in primary education
- Incorporate te reo me ngā tikanga Māori, Pasifika values, and principles of Mana Ōrite into your teaching
- Tertiary qualified in Education (ideally Masters) including an active current Teacher Registration
- Substantial experience as a New Zealand primary school teacher/ Tertiary Lecturer in Education
- Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ability to embed its principles in your teaching
- Experience with NZQA programme design, assessment, and moderation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback
- A passion for educating and mentoring the next generation of primary school teachers
- Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ability to embed its principles in your teaching
