About The Role

The Director of Sales and Marketing plays a fundamental role in driving the business growth and brand visibility of a company, especially within the hospitality industry. This position requires strategic oversight of both sales and marketing initiatives to ensure revenue targets are met and the brand remains competitive in the market.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt’s Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.
  • Defining target markets and develop a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy.
  • Leading efforts to build awareness of the hotel through digital marketing, public relations, and partnerships with local tourism boards, influencers, and media.
  • Lead the sales and marketing team, ensuring they are aligned with the hotel’s goals.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, corporations, travel agencies, tour operators, event planners, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead the development of the hotel’s online presence, including website, social media channels, and online travel agencies (OTAs).
  • Work closely with the hotel’s General Manager and operations team to ensure that the guest experience matches the promises made through marketing.
  • Closely monitor the performance of all sales and marketing efforts, adapting strategies as needed to ensure continued growth.
  • Build and nurture long-term customer relationships to drive repeat business and loyalty.

Qualifications

Qualifications - External

  • Previous experience as a Director of Sales and Marketing or similar position
  • Knowledge of the international market is essential
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Expertise in market analysis, strategic planning, and revenue management.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Digital marketing proficiency, including online sales channels and social media.
