Our group HQ is based in Horotiu New Zealand where we have moved into a brand-new purpose-built facility to allow for continued growth. In Australia we have sales offices and warehousing facilities in Melbourne and a new purpose-built facility in Brisbane with 3PL warehousing in Perth.

To ensure a reliable source of aftermarket parts and apparel that is second to none, we provide exceptional customer service through our network of distribution centres in Horotiu, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.

The Role

Product Purchaser

We have over 90 staff across New Zealand and Australia and have a full time Product Purchaser position available to assist with our growing Purchasing department. Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Manager, this position requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail and collaboration with your team and wider business to ensure best outcomes at all times. The role requires extensive communication with various stakeholders including internal office/personnel, warehouse, external local and international suppliers, and customers, as well as a range of freight forwarders.

Key Responsibilities And Attributes

This role involves analysing sales trends, budgeting and forecasting inventory requirements, creating regular purchase orders to ensure a consistent supply of product from all around the world, communicating with suppliers and other internal departments. Purchasing experience is preferred and on the job training is also provided. The below attributes will ensure a good start.

The key responsibilities and attributes include, but are not limited to:

  • Being process driven with an eye for detail and be familiar with standard purchasing processes.
  • Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office especially excel and are comfortable with data analysis.
  • Ensure our product orders and shipments are efficiently managed.
  • Internal and external updates regarding status of shipments.
  • Proactive can-do attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Experience with international purchasing would be an advantage.
  • Have a good general knowledge of motorcycles, parts and accessories or at least an interest in Motorcycles and have the ability to learn.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills, as you will be communicating with suppliers from all around the world.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Be a team player with a willingness to help and support others.
