About The Role
Reporting to the Risk & Assurance Manager, you will provide expert advice to managers and staff on risk management and assurance activities. This role will primarily involve conducting internal audit and assurance assignments that add value to the organisation through an independent, objective, and professional process, as well as developing and implementing effective risk and internal control systems. The Risk and Assurance Team is responsible for examining information, developing and monitoring the annual audit plan, establishing and implementing risk systems, and performing investigations as required.

About The Role
Reporting to the Risk & Assurance Manager, you will provide expert advice to managers and staff on risk management and assurance activities. The Risk and Assurance Team is responsible for examining information, developing and monitoring the annual audit plan, establishing and implementing risk systems, and performing investigations as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Risk and Assurance Manager to monitor and establish effective risk mitigation practices.
- Implement and maintain the Enterprise Risk Register, risk systems and tools.
- Provide practical advice to management teams on the design of controls.
- Promote risk awareness, including coaching, mentoring, and training of staff.
- Stay informed on best practices and guide others on fraud detection and prevention controls.
- Assist the Risk and Assurance Manager to design and execute the Internal Audit Plan.
- Conduct internal audits to assess established internal controls and procedures.
- Identify and evaluate internal risks and their potential impact on the organisation.
- Complete stocktakes for external auditors at chosen Works sites.
- Ensure externally appointed Internal Auditors complete assignments within budget, scope, and required standards.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business Management, Bachelor of Commerce).
- 4 - 5 years audit and/or risk management experience.
- Membership to CA ANZ, IIANZ or Risk equivalent.
- Professional Qualification (either CA, CPA, CIA, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to work with and influence a wide range of people
- Understanding of business process and practice.
- You'll be detail focused and results oriented.
- Experience in a complex organisation and an understanding of organisational dynamics is desirable.
