About this Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented person to join our GIS/CAD Team to support the delivery of high-quality GIS services across network and project operations.
Northpower is an electricity and fibre network provider for Whangārei and Kaipara, with more than 60,000 connected customers.
We are one of the largest multi-utility contractors in New Zealand, servicing the needs of clients in transmission, distribution, generation, fibre, renewables, and commercial sectors. We are looking for a detail-oriented person to join our GIS/CAD Team to support the delivery of high-quality GIS services across network and project operations.
- Produce CAD scheme plans and updating network drawings
- Updating of the customers GIS/SAP systems with accuracy
- Assist the Design team with general mapping requirements
- Ensure all updates meet regulatory and customer standards
- At least 12 months of GIS experience in a contracting environment
- Strong computer and database skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Great attention to detail and a knack for problem-solving
