What You'll Do

As a Senior Assurance Analyst, you will take ownership of delivering a robust assurance programme that underpins the organisation’s commitment to excellence in governance and risk management.

  • Lead and manage the execution of a risk-based assurance work plan approved by the Audit and Risk Committee, ensuring all activities align with organisational objectives.
  • Examine and evaluate the adequacy and application of internal controls across various business units, identifying areas for enhancement and recommending best practice solutions.
  • Independently oversee specialised audits or reviews requested by senior leadership teams, ensuring thoroughness and clarity in all findings.
  • Act as an ambassador for risk and assurance throughout the organisation, fostering awareness and understanding of effective risk management practices.
  • Identify weaknesses in internal controls or processes, providing actionable recommendations for streamlining operations or improving compliance based on industry standards.
  • Recommend systems and process re-engineering opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall business performance.
  • Lead follow-up activities to ensure timely remediation of control deficiencies or implementation of recommended improvements by relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure that risk management policies and assurance processes are not only established but also operationally effective across all departments.
  • Engage with external assurance partners when required, managing their contributions to meet quality, time, and budget expectations.
  • Prepare clear, insightful reports for senior management committees, presenting key findings and recommendations in a manner that drives informed decision-making.

What You'll Bring

  • Experienced in building strong relationships with stakeholders through clear communication and collaboration.
  • Holds a tertiary qualification with 5–7 years of audit experience in large firms or corporate settings.
  • Skilled at understanding complex business environments and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Proven track record in developing creative solutions for process improvements.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk assessment and internal control frameworks, providing best practice feedback.
  • Manages end-to-end audit reviews independently, taking full accountability for outcomes.
  • Familiar with IT processes and has experience with audits related to compliance (e.g., ISO 27001 is a plus).
  • Strong report-writing skills tailored to executive audiences, including audit committees and senior leaders.
  • Able to work constructively with external partners and co-source providers to meet timelines and budgets.
