THE ROLE

Join Downer's Engineering Solutions Division and play a crucial role in delivering essential services across NZ. As a Project Administrator, you will support the successful execution of high-impact infrastructure projects by managing schedules, overseeing quality processes, and handling reporting tasks. This position is based in Tauranga or Hamilton office and is perfect for someone who pays attention to detail, enjoys teamwork, and wants to make a meaningful impact.

As a key member of the project support team, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers and technical staff to ensure that critical utilities projects run efficiently. Your responsibilities will include maintaining documentation, coordinating quality processes, tracking schedules, and generating reports. Your contributions will be vital to the success of our infrastructure initiatives.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, maintain, and analyse project schedules, providing timely progress updates.
  • Support the project planning and documentation processes, including tracking project initiation and scope.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports, progress updates, and quality assurance documentation for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project packages, track audits, and manage quality assurance documents.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with internal teams and client representatives.

ABOUT YOU

You're an organised, proactive project support professional with a proven ability to keep infrastructure projects on track. You value clear communication, take initiative, and have a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

  • Proven experience in supporting project delivery, preferably in the infrastructure or utilities sector.
  • Proficient in MS Project or similar project management tools, as well as Microsoft Office and financial systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Confident in collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
