Johnny Bigg – NZ Country Manager
As the Johnny Bigg NZ Country Manager, you will lead, motivate, and inspire your team across 12 stores, supported by 1–2 Area Managers. This pivotal leadership role requires you to exceed sales, wage, and financial targets while creating an inclusive and empowering work environment for your team.
You will drive business performance and profitability by delivering exceptional sales results, developing your area and store managers, and fostering a culture of growth and success. Your passion for leadership will extend to coaching and mentoring your team, ensuring their professional development aligns with the goals of the business.
This role is accountable for the operational success of New Zealand, ensuring the Johnny Bigg brand is represented at the highest level. Reporting to the Head of Retail and working closely with your Australian counterparts, you’ll bring expertise and innovation to enhance the customer experience, build sales strategies, and ensure operational excellence.

As Country Manager, you will:
  • Champion exceptional customer experiences in every store.
  • Inspire and lead by example with a hands-on, collaborative approach.
  • Implement and execute commercial strategies to exceed sales and profit goals.
  • Manage wage and stocktake results across the region.
  • Recruit, train, and retain high-performing talent while ensuring a structured onboarding process.
  • Identify and develop top talent, supporting their personal growth and succession planning.
  • Mentor and coach Area and Store Managers to build confidence and achieve their goals.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and drive team success.
  • Trade the business effectively, leveraging your commercial and visual merchandising expertise.
To be considered for the role, you will ideally have:
  • At least 3+ years of regional management experience.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to analyse results to identify opportunities.
  • A solid understanding of KPIs and their impact on business performance.
  • Proven success in coaching and developing a team to deliver outstanding results.
  • A drive to foster a positive, dynamic team culture.
  • A self-motivated, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
