We are a busy Dairy Store located in Christchurch and are currently looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and experienced person to manage our Store operations independently. You would be a strong leader, a self-starter and won't mind going an extra mile for the success of the business
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Organising and running the day to day operation of the business.
- Staff recruitment, management and rostering in line with the business requirements.
- Reviewing product lines regualary.Introducing new products and discontinuing less popular products.
- Creating business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic and enhance profitability.
- Developing and arranging promotional material and in-store displays.
- Maintaining record of cash and electronic transactions and generating reconciliation reports.
- Setting up in store promotions regularly and deciding product prices to achieve maximum store profitability.
- Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control and pricing, including – implementing stock control systems, stock tracking, purchasing, stock discounting and clearance
- Developing and maintaining a professional and cooperative relationship with suppliers
- Setting store budget and ensuring compliance with the budgeted expenses.
- Checking and processing all inward and outward goods.
- Establishing and maintaining the store operational standards.
- Motivate the sales team to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring staff.
- Receive customer reviews/feedback and ensure implementation of the corrective actions if any.
- Ensuring compliance with the health and safety rules and all the applicable business regulations.
Your skills, experience & qualifications:
- High standard of communication, including written and spoken English.
- An attention to detail but can set and adjust priorities appropriately as the environmental changes.
- Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
- Physically fit as some lifting may be required
- Ability to Manage and train team members
- Availability to work 7 days a week including public holidays
- A relevant degree qualification/overseas equivalent or total of three years of relevant experience, including one year of managerial experience
Drug, criminal and reference checks may be required as part of the recruitment process.
Minimum 30 hours a week.
Pay rate $25.00-$30.00 per hour in line with the skills and experience.
