An opportunity has arisen, and we are currently seeking an all-rounder with broad maintenance skills to join our Auckland team as a Playground Operator.
What does a Playground Operator do you ask?
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the Auckland District Councils playgrounds, sports courts, sports/fitness equipment, BBQ's, bus shelters, waterways, and parks furniture throughout the district. Your duties will include, but not limited to, basic handyman functions, playground inspections and minor repairs, playground aeration, cleaning, refurbishments, and asset validation of all park assets. At times you may be required to assist the wider Auckland District team.

What We Are Looking For
- You will possess a broad range of handyman skills and preferably have previous maintenance experience
- Ideally, you will have completed a Playground Inspection and Maintenance Course Level 2
- A current full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential
- A high level of attention to detail, have a strong work ethic and demonstrate a positive attitude towards working safely
- You will have excellent communication skills, be reliable, punctual, co-operative, and maintain positive working relationships
- You must be able to work flexible hours to meet the client's requirements
