About the Role | Mō te tūnga
We’re looking for experienced Senior Fabricators to join our team. If you have a passion for stainless, have worked in the industry for several years or have completed a Level 4 Certificate in Light Fabrication, we'd like to hear from you.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyse, initiate and lead jobs from start to finish, partnering with Project Engineers and the trade team to get jobs completed on time and to high quality finishes
- Provide clarity, direction and hands-on support to team members for jobs, projects and tasks
- Provide leadership to more junior team members including on-the-job coaching and mentoring
- Fabricate stainless-steel vessels, pipe runs, ducting and transitions to food-grade standards
- Read and interpret CAD drawings
- Conduct TIG welding with light gauge materials, including sanitary welds with back purge
About You | Mō te tangata
You’re a motivated, solutions-focused team player who takes pride in delivering exceptional results. You bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- At least five years' experience in light gauge stainless-steel fabrication, ideally working to food-grade standards. Significant TIG welding experience is a must
- A Level 4 NZ Certificate in Engineering Fabrication (Trade) with strands in Light Fabrication, an equivalent qualification, or you are a journeyman
- Obtained NZS 4703, NZS 4711 or ASME IX tickets
- A proactive, positive attitude to health and safety
- The right to live and work in New Zealand
