We’re looking for proactive and reliable individuals to join one of our clients in Auckland. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming full-time for the right candidate, preferably with 2–3 years of experience.
This role is ideal for someone who holds a Class 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 license, and WTR endorsements (not essential but desirable), and is willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- To take direction and orders from the company director/manager
- To read and question as required all aspects of SC health and safety policy
- To at all times act in a safe manner when on site and on the road
- To not carry out any instruction or action that may cause risk or injury to any other person
- To listen and understand directions given by their employer and if unsure to ask for clarification or better understanding of the instruction
- To arrive at their place of work in a fit and suitable condition to be able to carry out their tasks
- To introduce themselves to the companies’ client or representative on site
- Personal social media, phone-calls or other communication will be conducted in the employee’s own time
- The employee will take with him or pick-up his water and meal requirements on the way to site
- To record and keep daily records of times and other information as requested on the daily site sheet or other devices as requested by the employer
- To obey all road rules when driving on the road and drive in a safe and courteous manner
- To lead and direct staff (where instructed to do so) in a positive manner so as that the workplace is a positive environment and that staff have an inclusive feeling working for the company
- Ensure your drivers license endorsements remain up to date and you maintain driver log books as required by NZTA
- Advise management of any traffic infringements/fines/offences etc you receive as soon as practical
