CNC Machine Operator

An exciting opportunity to work as CNC Machine Operator.

This is a full-time role with usual hours of 40 per week over Monday to Sunday from 6am-4pm. The role is with guaranteed 32 hours per week, and maximum hours to 46 per week.

It offers competitive hourly rate from $28 to $36 depending on experience and skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operating in the most productive fashion possible complying and adhering to OSCS company policies and standard operating procedures.

• Responsible for operating efficiently and safely.
• Ensuring correct cutting parameters for various materials are applied to achieve the desired result.
• Understand nests and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations including machine settings.
• Getting material in and out of racks, including marking material correctly and clearly.
• Ensuring efficiency when it comes to throughput and production.
• Keeping machine and surrounding work area clean and tidy.
• General maintenance checks and continuous assessment of machines performance.
• Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as required.
• Assist with dispatching completed jobs when required.
• Assist when required with cleaning, counting and packing jobs ready for dispatch.
• Be trained in forklift use.
• Assist in all aspects of production.

About you:

• Full New Zealand driver’s license or equivalent
• Fork Hoist and F-Endorsement license preferred
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience
• Ability to read and interpret product drawings
• Physically fit as some heavy lifting involved.
