We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Structural Manager to join our high performing team in Christchurch. With an increase in large scale commercial projects both in the region and nationally, we are looking for a talented and experienced Manager to lead and develop our established Structural discipline.

About The Role

You will lead and inspire a team of engineers, drafters, and technicians; cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence. Oversee and lead the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, provide specialised technical expertise, and foster innovation and ensure high standards of project delivery.

  • Manage all size projects, including cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Drive business growth through proposal development and strategic client engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Support the company’s strategic direction by contributing to business planning, process improvement, and staff development initiatives.

About You

  • CPEng qualified with 10–15+ years’ experience delivering structural projects across NZ, with solid technical expertise in seismic design
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver on complex projects
  • Strong communicator who is approachable, empathetic, and confident working with clients and teams
  • Commercially sharp, with a clear understanding of risk, budgets, and client expectations
  • Skilled in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing multiple priorities
  • A proactive approach to mentoring and coaching, with a desire to develop people and teams
  • Positive, resilient, and solutions-focused — you bring fresh thinking to complex challenges
