All Blacks Experience & National Kiwi Hatchery (Ngāi Tahu Tourism)

Bring Two Iconic Aotearoa Experiences To Life Online

Ngāi Tahu Tourism is seeking a confident, creative, and strategically minded Social Media Coordinator to help drive the digital presence of two unique visitor experiences - the All Blacks Experience and the National Kiwi Hatchery.

This is a multi-brand, content-focused role that combines strategic planning, content creation, and community engagement. You'll be responsible for delivering compelling, on-brand content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, aligning with each brand's goals, voice, and kaupapa.

A passion for storytelling and sharing our experiences with people from all over the world is essential — this role plays a key part in connecting audiences to the cultural, conservation, and visitor experiences that make these brands so special.

This position is 24 hours per week and split across both brands:

  • All Blacks Experience (Auckland) - 16 hours per week
  • National Kiwi Hatchery (Rotorua) - 8 hours per week

For the right candidate, we are open to splitting the role - please indicate in your application if you are applying for one brand only.

About The Experiences

All Blacks Experience - Auckland

Located at SkyCity Precinct, the All Blacks Experience is an immersive, interactive journey through the legacy of New Zealand's national rugby teams - the All Blacks, Black Ferns, and other Teams in Black. More than a sporting attraction, it's a powerful expression of culture and identity, welcoming international visitors and locals alike to connect with Aotearoa through the lens of rugby, storytelling, and tradition.

National Kiwi Hatchery - Rotorua

The National Kiwi Hatchery is the most successful kiwi hatching and rearing facility in the world. Based in Rotorua, The Hatchery plays a critical role in kiwi conservation, partnering with DOC and iwi to protect and grow the population of this taonga species. Revenue from visitation, sponsorship, and donations directly supports its conservation mahi, and educational tours offer a powerful platform to share the importance of biodiversity and kaitiakitanga with visitors of all ages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a content calendar for both brands, aligned with key campaigns and seasonal moments.
  • Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Schedule content via Meta Business Suite and other relevant platforms.
  • Ensure content at National Kiwi Hatchery complies with animal welfare best practices and National Kiwi Advocacy Guidelines.
  • Adhere to New Zealand Rugby (NZR) approval processes when creating content featuring players or likenesses at the All Blacks Experience.
  • Engage with audiences through DMs, comments, and community management in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support marketing team with influencer visits, VIP events, and content capture coordination.

What We're Looking For

  • A portfolio or examples of previous social media work (including links or files in your application).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in social media coordination or digital content creation.
  • Experience using editing and scheduling tools such as CapCut, Canva, and Meta Business Suite.
  • An understanding of platform-specific trends, audience behaviours, and content best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage content across two very different brand tones.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with remote teams.
  • Alignment with Ngāi Tahu values, and a willingness to engage with te reo Māori and our cultural kaupapa.
