CAI YUAN GUN GUN LTD located in Whangarei, is looking for two full-time PASTRYCOOKS to join our team.

As a pastrycook, you will be working a minimun of 30 hours per week on a roster. You will be responsible for:

Job Description:

• Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and work areas prior to production to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Evaluate the quality of raw ingredients and measure components with precision.
• Prepare dough by kneading, fermenting, cutting, molding, mixing, and shaping it for production purposes.
• Clean and properly maintain all cooking equipment after use.
• Collaborate closely with managers, kitchen staff, and service teams on food preparation tasks, such as dough-making and ingredient marination.
• Possess specialized expertise in the traditional technique of hand-pulled noodle making.
• Implement and clearly communicate hygiene and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage food freezing and storage operations as required.
• Carry out additional responsibilities and duties as assigned

About you:

• Minimum two years of relevant experience required OR
• NZQF Level 4 or above qualification.
• Physically fit with a clear criminal record.
