As a Systems Engineer - Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in our Education team ensuring the seamless operation of our client schools' IT functions. You will lead by example, providing onsite support, overseeing project implementations, and proactively maintaining systems to optimize performance. Your leadership will extend to mentoring and supporting junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

The Role
As a Systems Engineer - Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in our Education team ensuring the seamless operation of our client schools' IT functions. You will lead by example, providing onsite support, overseeing project implementations, and proactively maintaining systems to optimize performance. Your leadership will extend to mentoring and supporting junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Manage ticket status and volumes, taking necessary actions to meet customer needs.
- Provide onsite support to customers, addressing desktop, server, software, and hardware needs enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Led pre-sales and sales processes for potential customers, following established protocols.
- Cultivate positive customer relationships, focusing on retention and satisfaction.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and day-to-day management for team members.
- Act as a technical escalation point for your team and wider IT field services.
- Manage and develop team members, including training, professional growth, and recruitment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in systems engineering, focusing on customer service and project management.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in pre-sales and sales processes preferred.
- Proficiency in service management tools and industry best practices.
- Certifications such as Google, Microsoft, Cisco or equivalent are preferred.
