Description

  • Permanent, remote position with a global SaaS business
  • Accelerate your career under the mentorship of an experienced Financial Controller
  • Step into a role where you’ll support month-end, forecasting and compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
We are a global SaaS company headquartered in the Gold Coast, Australia. Our team is incredibly passionate about building a product that genuinely delights our customers, improving their daily operations in the third party logistics industry. We recently launched our software into the North American market and have a keen interest in continually building our market share globally!

Our Role

We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to play a hands-on role in our day-to-day finance operations—supporting transactional processing, month-end activities, payroll, compliance, and financial reporting across our group entities.

This is a great opportunity to build your career inside a fast-paced SaaS environment where your work will make a real impact. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insights that drive smarter decisions across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Accounts payable and receivable, including invoice generation and payment runs.
  • Monitoring and reporting on customer usage and outstanding invoices.
  • Supporting month-end close: journals, reconciliations, reporting and variance analysis.
  • Payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions, including leave reconcilitations.
  • GST, FBT and other returns processing, in line with location-specific compliance requirements.
  • Supporting budget, forecast, and scenario modelling for internal planning.
  • Financial process documentation and improvement.
  • Assisting in year-end audit and other finance-related projects.

To be successful in this role we are looking for:

  • Prior experience in an Assistant Accountant role or similar
  • Strong Excel skills (vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, etc)
  • Payroll and Expense process experience with Xero (direct) and EOR partners (global)
  • A sound understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or business
  • CA/CPA qualified, or actively working towards
  • Experience in SaaS or logistics industries would be highly regarded
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment

If you’re ready to join a collaborative team in a high-growth company where your contribution matters every day, we’d love to hear from you! Feel free to apply now, or reach out to our Careers team - [email protected] for more information.

Benefits

We appreciate your time in applying and we are committed to responding to every application received. We offer market-competitive salary packages, along with a suite of additional benefits including an extensive parental leave policy, support for home office setup, wellness allowance and more! We encourage and promote a positive and inclusive workplace, one in which the talent and strengths of our increasingly diverse workforce are welcomed, further developed and manifested in our work.
