We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic HR professional to bring their unique flare to MAS as a HealthyPractice Adviser. You will be a part of our close-knit Business Advisory (BAS) team where you will be encouraged to make your mark! With a focus on providing high level ER & HR advice and support to small businesses across Aotearoa, you will be having a conversation regarding a serious misconduct process with a Vet one minute and preparing a culture survey for a dental practice the next. A role with variety where your focuses will differ from day to day, you will enjoy the blend of working in a collaborative environment and being empowered to take ownership of your work. You will take pride in your ability to provide exceptional service to our external HealthyPractice subscribers, as well as working collaboratively alongside other internal teams such as our Business Risk Insurance (BR) team.

What a Day Might Look Like

  • Provide HR advice to subscriber practices, in a timely manner by phone, email and MS Teams/Zoom video conferencing, and in person where relevant.
  • Provide HealthyPractice website tutorials to prospective and current HealthyPractice subscribers.
  • Present at business education seminars and conferences on HR/Employment and business management related topics for MAS and BAS.
  • Assist with content management and development, including ongoing review and editing of current content to ensure that it is up to date and factually correct.
  • Assist with writing articles for professional publications and monthly newsletters for HealthyPractice subscribers.
  • Promotion and sales of HealthyPractice subscriptions and MAS membership to practices, including referrals to and from other MAS teams.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years HR experience where you have provided support and mentorship during disciplinary and staff performance processes, as well as in-depth knowledge of Employment related legislation
  • Experience supporting managers across different stages of the employee life cycle, from recruitment through to redundancies
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Experience with writing web content and articles
  • Team player - all round good person who will give anything a go
  • Self-motivated with good time management and organisational skills
  • Impeccable levels of confidentiality
  • Experience in working in a busy environment
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Ability to develop and maintain quality relationships
