Painters Wanted – Join Our Skilled Team in Auckland!

Smart Painting & Decoration Ltd is a trusted name in Auckland for delivering top-quality renovation and interior decoration services across both residential and commercial projects. We are currently looking for 5 experienced painters to join our skilled team in Auckland.

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week (additional hours are required from time to time and paid at the same hourly rate)
Pay Rate: $27–$32 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes to protect and enhance building surfaces
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming
• Mix paints to achieve specific colours and finishes
• Repair cracks, holes, and other surface imperfections for a flawless finish
• Apply decorative techniques such as stippling, ragging, and sponging as required
• Erect scaffolding and ladders, and place drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering;
• Follow health and safety protocols on all job sites
• Cleaning equipment and work areas;
• May repair windows and replace glass in wooden and metal frames;
• May lay and repair wall and floor tiles.

Role Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in residential or commercial painting
• Flexibility to work varied hours based on project needs (this is not a standard 9–5 job)
• Physically fit and committed to safe work practices
• Punctual, dependable, and able to meet project deadlines
• Able to work independently and follow instructions
• Must have New Zealand residency or legal right to work in NZ
