This position gives you the opportunity to take a long-term view and you'll play a key role in charting the course for land drainage and waterway assets for years to come. Alongside that you'll be;

Hours of work - 37.5 - 40 hours per week
Position - Permanent full time
Location - This position is primarily based at Christchurch City Council Civic Offices - 53 Hereford Street
Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $115,466 to $132,131 per annum based on a 40 hour working week. Starting salaries are negotiable and will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.

About the role | Ko te mahi nei
This position gives you the opportunity to take a long-term view and you'll play a key role in charting the course for land drainage and waterway assets for years to come. Alongside that you'll be;
- Setting and maintaining the renewals budgets though the Long Term Planning (LTP) Process for the 30 year view
- Working within the LTP process providing specialist advice on Land Drainage asset management
- Producing project briefs and scopes for renewals work
- Reviewing designs and providing key technical input in asset renewal projects
- Working closely with the Asset Planning, Project Delivery and the Operations & Maintenance teams
- 10 years' experience with area of land drainage expertise or similar field
- A diverse background that includes exposure to different stages of the project lifecycle
- An understanding of the asset lifecycle and how it relates to asset management
- Excitement about the prospect of delivering work that has positive impact on the environment and the people of Ōtautahi, Christchurch
