About the Role

As a trusted advisor to our operational leaders, you’ll work in close partnership to identify people-related business needs, provide high-quality HR advice and solutions, and deliver initiatives that improve employee experience and performance across Red Badge Group.
This role goes beyond BAU HR — you’ll get stuck into projects, contribute to strategy, coach leaders, and drive improvements across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with managers to understand their HR needs and deliver tailored support across recruitment, onboarding, capability building, leadership development, retention, performance, and more.

  • Provide expert advice on all aspects of HR, including employment relations, organisational design, remuneration, and workforce planning.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to systems, processes, and practices.
  • Support and coach leaders to lift capability and embed effective people practices that drive sustainable performance.
  • Play a key role in health & safety compliance, incident response, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Lead and support recruitment activity across management roles and provide guidance as required for wider hiring needs.
  • Drive engagement and organisational development projects that enhance the employee experience.
  • Support compensation and benefits processes, including remuneration reviews, job evaluations, and metrics reporting.

About you

We’re looking for a confident and credible HR professional who can connect with people at all levels, influence outcomes, and thrive in a fast-paced and varied environment.

You’ll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering role.
  • Strong working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and best practices.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach and the ability to coach and influence senior leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset when it comes to identifying needs and driving results.
  • Experience with HR metrics, data storytelling, and process improvement is a plus!
