Embroidery Machine Operator

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Embroidery Machine Operator with a minimum of 3 years practical experience or a Fashion or Creative design qualification.
This role involves operating industrial embroidery machines, executing precise design work, and contributing to product developement in a fast paced and creative environment.
This position is critical to our operations as it requires a unique combination of technical embroidery expertise and fashion design knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
: Operate and maintain industrial embroidery machines such as Tajima or Brother.
: Interpret design briefs nad digital embroidery files (DST, PES) to produce high quality embroidered garments.
: Collaberate with the fashion design and production teams to align embroidery techniques with seasonal collections.
: Adjust machine settings, choose appropriate threads and stabalizers and monitor tension and stitching quality.
: Conduct routine maintainance and basic repairs to minimise downtime.
: Ensure all finished products meet high standards for accuracy, aesthetics and durability.
: Train junior staff or assist in upskilling other team members if required.
: Maintain accurate records of production output and quality control.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
: At least 3 years of full time experience operating industrial embroidery machines.
: A qualification in Fashion Design (or related field), at NZQF Level 4 or higher, (or equivalant overseas).
: Demonstrate ability to interpret and digitize embroidery files, (experience with software such as Wilcom or Pulse prefered).
: A deep understading of garment construction, textiles and embellishment techniques.
: High attension to detail and strong technical precision.
: Ability to work independently and manage production timelines.
