Thai Massage Therapists

Dissaya Thai Massage is a local Thai Massage business in Motueka. We are looking for experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our team.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working in an authentic Thai Massage business, OR
• A related qualification (at NZ Register Diploma level or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR
• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

Job Descriptions

• Warmly welcoming clients and creating a calm, respectful, and inviting atmosphere

• Performing traditional Thai massage techniques, including acupressure, assisted stretching, and energy line work, to restore balance and promote overall well-being

• Applying appropriate pressure and movement to stimulate energy flow, relieve muscle tension, and enhance flexibility

• Assessing clients’ physical conditions, concerns, and medical history to customize treatments accordingly

• Offering guidance on post-massage care, stretching exercises, and relaxation techniques to support long-term benefits

• Utilizing complementary tools and methods such as herbal compresses, essential oils, hot or cold packs, and aromatherapy to enhance the healing experience

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace in line with health and safety standards

• Managing appointment times efficiently and ensuring minimal waiting time for clients

• Monitoring client responses during treatment and adjusting techniques to ensure comfort and effectiveness

• Encouraging client feedback to improve service quality and ensure high levels of satisfaction

• Demonstrating a polite, professional, and culturally respectful manner at all times

Other detail

• This is a full-time and permanent position

• Wage payment is between $27 and $30 per hour, depending on your skills and experience, and you will be paid weekly

• Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
• You will be working at 133 High Street, Motueka, Nelson

• You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)
