Painter

Experienced Painter required.

We’re looking for an experienced, reliable painter with a passion for delivering exceptional painting and decorating services. The ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to think outside the box. This is a permanent, full-time role with an hourly rate from $30 to $40, depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Preparing surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, filling, and priming (including lead-based paint removal)
• Applying paint and other finishes to a variety of exterior surfaces
• Confidently cutting in and using a roller
• Calculating the materials required for each project
• Repairing damaged surfaces as needed
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Masking surfaces in preparation for airless spraying
• Upholding strict health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ verifiable experience as a painter and decorator
• Excellent knowledge of painting products, tools, and techniques
• Ability to efficiently operate an airless spray machine (advantageous)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines without compromising quality
• Reliable transport
• Willingness to travel to other regions from time to time as required
