Glazier/Lead Installer

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Glazier/Installer (Team Leader) to join our team based in Rotorua. You will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and installation of glazing systems on residential and commercial sites. In addition to glazing and installation work, you will also lead a small team on-site to ensure high standards of safety, efficiency, and workmanship are upheld.

• The successful applicant will be required to travel to job sites across the wider Waikato and BOP region, depending on operational requirements and workload demands.
• Hourly pay range is $30 - $35
• Monday - Friday 07.00am - 3.30pm
• Minimum guaranteed hours of work each week will be 30 hours.

Key responsibilities include:

• Measuring, cutting, and fitting glass into aluminium joinery systems including windows, doors, partitions, and balustrades.

• Installing aluminium joinery and pre-fabricated glazing units on-site.

• Interpreting technical drawings, site instructions, and specifications.

• Assembling glazing systems including frames, panels, and hardware.

• Ensuring all work complies with New Zealand building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.

• Safely transporting and handling glass and joinery products using appropriate equipment.

• Inspecting completed installations for accuracy, quality, and finish.

• Leading a small team and coordinating daily site activities.

• Providing practical support and training to junior team members.

• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe worksite.

Skills and experience required:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in glazing or glass installation (residential or commercial).

• Competent in reading technical drawings and plans.

• Experience using glass-handling tools, cutting machines, and related equipment.

• Full NZ driver’s licence.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• High attention to detail
