Design Estimator

We are looking for a Design Estimator to join the team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the design and pricing of new builds, upgrades, and changes to both public and private distribution networks.

You’ll work across a diverse range of projects, ensuring all designs meet regulatory and customer standards while supporting delivery teams with accurate scoping, efficient work plans, and pricing solutions.

• Designing and pricing electrical distribution network upgrades and new builds
• Preparing end-to-end costings, tender documents, and construction drawings
• Ensuring designs meet network and safety standards
• Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Handover of designs to construction teams with accurate documentation
• Contributing to continuous improvement and project delivery efficiency

• BE (Electrical), Diploma in Electrical Engineering (min. 3 years' experience), or relevant industry experience
• Proven experience in network design, estimating, or project engineering
• Knowledge of HV/LV infrastructure, substation equipment, overhead/underground networks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software
• Strong communication, analytical and planning skills
• Class 1 NZ Driver’s Licence
