About The Role

Join our dynamic Genesis Data and AI Governance (DAIG)team as a Data Governance & Privacy Analyst! This role is pivotal in advancing our data governance and privacy practices across the company, ensuring trustworthy and easy-to-use data. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and be part of major transformation projects.

In this role you will;

  • Get the best of two worlds: Data Governance and Personal Information (PI) Management
  • Along with other Data Governance Analysts in the team, share the responsibility of democratising data governance at Genesis through catalogue, glossary, data quality and marketplace.
  • Work along side the Privacy Team (Legal) to discover, classify, and report on PI in various systems using automatic tools such as Informatica, Purview, and OneTrust.
  • Advise and co-design PI data controls with the Privacy Team
  • Collaborate with Legal, Data, IT and other stakeholders to implement PI data controls
  • Create self-serve materials and deliver training on PI systems, reports and PI data handling best practices.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and creative problem-solver with strong data governance and privacy skills.

Our ideal candidate will also have;

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant business or science disciplines (e.g., Data Analytics, Statistics, Software Engineering, Computer Science).
  • Experience in data management, data governance, data quality, or data analytics with experience or interest in utilising this skillset in the governance and privacy space.
  • Product management mindset is a bonus as we position data governance as a product
  • Ability to query and manipulate data using SQL or other languages.
  • Proficiency in data management and privacy tools to perform automatic controls.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices in data management.
  • Excellent analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and strong stakeholder management abilities.
