Responsibilities
The Watercare team have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team. This role will primarily be focused on smart meter replacement projects and new connection contracts. This is a busy, delivery-focused role and the key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and deliver new connections/ meter replacement projects with smart meters
- Actively measure and promote the health, safety and wellbeing of staff and contractors including conducting site audits.
- Prepare monthly reports on project progress along with monthly accruals and forecasts for the Finance team.
- Review, evaluate and process all contractor monthly claims and contract variations.
- Ensure the delivery of yearly target turnover within agreed budgetary framework
- Problem solving and conflict resolution. Act as point of contact between contractors, Engineers and coordinators to resolve issues prior to escalation.
Role
You'll be a confident, enthusiastic problem-solver with a 'can-do' attitude who loves a challenge and has a high attention to detail. In this role you will demonstrate:
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Contract Management, Project Management or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Wellbeing processes, procedures and legislation.
- The ability to deliver to KPIs/targets and be highly outcome focused.
- Experience with Project Management software systems including MS Project.
- Strong understanding of contract management, financial reporting, purchase orders and project forecasting.
- Excellent communication, analytical and reporting skills.
- Proven experience working autonomously with the ability to also manage multiple contractors and competing priorities.
