Role Responsibilities
- Driving a Health and Safety culture within the team and actively encourages positive behaviours.
- Accountable for the completion of the daily production plan in full and on time
- Responsible for ensuring a high standard of Quality and Food Safety throughout their department.
- Proactively leads the team in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), identifies issues and works to promptly resolve.
- Identifies training needs and ensures training is provided in a timely manner.
- Meets departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Uses SIMPLIFY! techniques to ensure that issues are resolved or escalated in a timely manner.
- Ensure labour requirements are met to complete daily production schedules.
- 3-5 years industry experience (preferably food) in a production environment
- Understanding of and exposure to production compliance, HR, Quality and Food Safety, Animal Welfare, RMP, EHS and Continuous Improvement principles.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Able to make decisions within authority limits and when necessary, elevate issues.
- Able to balance conflicting priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Outlook
- Able to interpret and use relevant reports and data.
