About the opportunity
Are you an organised and detail-focused finance professional with a passion for accuracy and process improvement? We are looking for a proactive and reliable Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of supplier payments.
As our Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end accounts payable process, from invoice entry and approval to payment runs and supplier reconciliations. Working closely with the wider WMS Group and external suppliers, you will ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and paid on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently process invoices, ensuring accuracy in coding and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies and variances in a timely manner, maintaining strong vendor relationships
- Assist in the preparation of monthly Accounts Payable accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Perform reconciliations of company credit card statements to ensure all expenses are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Act as a backup to the administrative team as needed, providing support in varied administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller to address ad-hoc queries and assist with broader financial tasks as required.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Two plus years' experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Microsoft program skills, specifically Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with Xero
- An understanding of standard accounting processes and principles.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- A reliable, honest and trustworthy approach.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.
