Cleaning Supervisor

VC FIRST GROUP LIMITED is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team and help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial sites in Tauranga.

Position: Cleaning Supervisor
Hourly Rate: $28 TO 30.00 per hour
Guaranteed Hours: 30 per week
Maximum Hours: Up to 60 per week during peak periods
Location: Tauranga

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff across multiple sites.

• Allocate duties and schedule shifts to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.

• Inspect sites and completed work to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.

• Train new staff in cleaning procedures, health & safety, and use of equipment.

• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order and restock as needed.

• Address staff or client concerns promptly and professionally.

• Prepare and submit reports on cleaning operations, staff performance, and incidents.

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

• Perform cleaning duties when required to support the team or cover absences.

Liaise with clients to understand needs, resolve complaints, and improve service delivery.

Requirements

• 1 years of team leading experience
• Full class 1 or equivalent license
• Able to driver manual vehicles
• Must be reliable and physically fit
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, early mornings shifts and public holidays if rostered
• Clear Criminal records and must pass drug and alcohol test
