We are looking for a Cook for a busy Indian takeaway, Fish & Chips & Burger in Hawke’s Bay.

Minimum 30 hours per week
Wages- $25.00 to $27.00/ hr
Full-time, Permanent
Location Onekawa, Hawke’s Bay

Great opportunity to work with a friendly team in a busy Takeaway in Hawkes Bay.

• Performing all the essential food preparation, seasoning and cooking
• Regulating temperatures of cooking equipment like grills and ovens
• Maintain and ensure food quality at all times
• Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
• Maintaining hygiene at all times
• Train other kitchen staff whenever required
• Stocktaking and reporting it to the Chef
• Clean and keep the kitchen as required by NZ standards

• At least one year of relevant experience in an Indian restaurant/takeaway
• Experience in preparing Indian Cuisine
• Knowledge of grinding and mixing Indian spices will be an advantage
• Experience in Tandoori or Curry style of cooking
