About the Role
An opportunity has arisen in Health New Zealand Lakes for a Registered Nurse to become part of the Perinatal Mental Health Team based in Rotorua. As this is a part-time role, it may be well suited for someone interested in a joint role with adult mental health & addiction services.
This is an exciting position, particularly given current service development initiatives related to the community-facing, inter-sectorial model of care, Te Ara Tauwhirotanga: Pathways that lead us to act with kindness.
Te Ara Tauwhirotanga acknowledges that health, wellbeing and opportunities for healing and recovery are a basic human right and that this can only occur when local, regional and national systems work well together. The model is the product of an extensive co-design process, aligns to He Ara Oranga and is designed around three central Pou (pillars) of Tikanga (Values), Tangata (People) and Taiao (Environment).

About you
This is a great opportunity to develop a specialist skill base in perinatal clinical assessment and intervention. The successful applicant will
- be competent in all facets of care and multi-disciplinary team working
- have excellent interpersonal skills and have a strong client focus, cultural competence and a flexible approach
- have proven ability to liaise with partner organisations and skilled at providing evidenced-based information and advice
- be New Zealand Registered and have a current APC with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in a mental health setting
