Position Purpose: The purpose of this position is to contribute to Massey University’s
teaching and learning outcomes in the aviation programmes as well as
administration, management and community activities in the School of
Aviation.

programmes to both local and international students as well as being a
professional training programme.

Accountabilities
Teaching/supervision • Undertake the coordination, administration, teaching and marking of
aviation courses in all teaching modes, tutorials lectures and seminars
that have been assigned.
- Develop and teach new papers as required.
- Manage any other person (adjunct instructor/teaching assistant) who
may deliver paper content of the papers.
- Actively assess new ideas for possible course improvements.
- Ensure where applicable that the content of papers meets the
regulatory and standards requirements of the New Zealand Civil
Aviation Authority, or any such other authority as relevant to the
approval of the course study.
- Assist in the design, authoring and implementation of Course
Student Workbooks and multi-media instruction.
- Contribute to the feedback and evaluation processes and the
that will enhance students learning experience and outcomes.
- Keep up to date with student learning techniques to ensure students

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:- An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline may be
considered depending on subsequent aviation related experience.
Experience: • At least two years of teaching experience in a tertiary or aviation
(Desirable) related environment.
