Our Opportunity:
As part of the Digital Services Leadership team, you will be reporting to the GM Digital Services and leading a team of 23 direct and indirect reports. In this role you'll guide the Architecture and Data Team and make important decisions, come up with ideas to improve our work and collaborate with other teams to achieve great results. You will lead the Architecture and Data Team, helping us with strategies, tools and processes. You'll ensure our digital services are excellent, drive innovation and help us stay ahead.
We offer a hybrid work environment providing you with the flexibility to work from home and from the offices to collaborate. This role can be based in either Auckland or Tauranga with travel to key sites as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Actively contribute to the Digital Services Leadership team to lead and deliver enterprise-side outcomes
- Maintain a strategic workforce plan, with a 2-year horizon alongside the Digital Services leadership team and other leaders, to enable our teams to be fit for the future
- Accountable for developing and maintaining enterprise architecture and data strategies
- Foster an Architecture community that proactively contributes to the success of Mercury
- Develop annual budgets for operational and capital requirements across the team in consultation with the GM Digital Services
We are looking for:
- Tertiary degree or similar level qualification in a technology-based discipline
- Formal training and/or professional qualification in IT professional services - planning, architecture, delivery
- Extensive experience in architecture or data and analytics related roles
- Strong experience leading and managing architecture or data and analytics teams or similar functions
