Dicker Data NZ is hiring a Business Development Manager to accelerate the growth of our Dell Technologies CSG business. This nationwide position requires travel to engage with customers across the country, with a key emphasis on face-to-face sales and outbound calls to arrange meetings and showcase our product offerings.

Dell Technologies CSG products include PCs, notebooks, 2-in-1 devices, thin clients, and peripherals like monitors and projectors. We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager with a hunter mentality to drive increased market share for both vendors.

Job Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships for Dell Technologies CSG products
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing reseller partners, and with key managers and stakeholders within Dell Technologies.
  • Leverage strategic thinking, energy, and insight to identify business opportunities, select the right channels, and negotiate effectively with senior decision-makers in major accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager on pricing, stocking, marketing initiatives, training, workshops, events, and other promotional activities.
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendor teams to identify and develop value-add offerings that Dicker Data can bring to market to help add functionality & value to our Partner's CSG Solutions

This position will suit someone with at least 5 years of experience within the IT industry, with ideally at least 3 years of BDM experience in distributing IT hardware.

Skills And Experience

  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritize work, to meet with Company and Partner expectations.
  • Experience of B2B selling devices and peripherals preferably in NZ Distribution.
  • High level of initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. This includes an ability to communicate and liaise with all levels of Partner and Vendor contacts.
  • Understanding of commercial aspects (e.g., margin & competitive pricing models.)
  • Working knowledge of the New Zealand IT market
  • Well-developed negotiation skills
  • Ability to forecast against sales targets on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Excellent time management, accuracy, and attention to detail
