In this role, you'll play a key part in designing, provisioning, and implementing complex network solutions for our Enterprise, Government, and Wholesale customers. You'll work with a range of leading-edge platforms in a highly collaborative environment, helping to bring customers onto our network with precision and care. Whether you're building core, edge, datacentre, or CPE infrastructure, your work will directly support the delivery of reliable, high-performance services across Aotearoa.

You'll collaborate closely with engineers, platform owners, service providers, and internal teams to plan and implement customer solutions - from onboarding and provisioning through to ongoing support and optimisation. You'll respond to technical requests, configure and implement new services, resolve incidents, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our documentation, processes, and standards. How You'll Show Up

Tu mai Tu Rangatira

  • 3+ years' experience in Network Engineering, Network Operations, or Network Support role (ideally in a service provider environment)
  • Industry certifications such as Fortinet (FCP) or Juniper JNCIS (FCSS, or JNCIP preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols & technologies - MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, ARP, Spanning Tree, DHCP
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP (v4 and v6), NAT, and DNS
  • Familiarity with TACACS, RADIUS and network monitoring & management tools (e.g. NetFlow, SNMP, Cacti)
  • Experience working with a range of vendor equipment - Juniper, Fortinet & Arista (desirable)
  • Exposure to deploying large multi-site WAN/LAN/WLAN, SDWAN, network security protocols, firewalls and network design (desirable)
  • Unix/Linux skills and a proficiency in a scripting language(s) (desirable)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical issues
  • Proven focus on customer service, with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to mentor and support others
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
