About the Role/Team/Service/Location
- Rotorua Hospital operates a General medicine model with subspecialty interests – both for inpatient and outpatients.
- Cardiology specialist functions include outpatients with a wide range of investigations and diagnostics include echocardiography, TOES, CTCA, holter monitors, pacemakers, Coronary Care.
- Lakes works within a collaborative regional cardiac network. While Cardiac imaging is a highly sought after, applicants with interventional skills can provide these at neighbouring facilities.
- The successful applicant will be involved in the regular provision of cardiology clinics in Taupo.
- Both Full time and part time applications will be considered
About You
- Be willing and able to do both Cardiology and Inpatient General Medicine. An interest in Cardiology imaging is highly advantageous.
- You will need to be a strong team player, highly professional, an energetic and driven approach to work, a curious mind, self-motivated and an active participant in ongoing improvement.
- An interest in further developing local specialist services to meet the needs of a rapidly growing and culturally diverse population.
- Have experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Actively participate in the education and training of under graduate and post graduate medical, nursing and allied health staff.
- Be eligible to obtain vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
