As our client team grows, we are now seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer with expertise in autonomous systems, particularly those that operate in dynamic, real-world environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex engineering challenges, from developing real-time control systems to designing robust testing environments.
You’ll be stepping into a critical role within a team known for delivering high-performance edge computing software, simulation tools (SITL/HITL), and distributed control across fleets of smart devices. Your background might include work with mobile systems, embedded automation platforms, or multi-agent coordination tools.

You’ll be stepping into a critical role within a team known for delivering high-performance edge computing software, simulation tools (SITL/HITL), and distributed control across fleets of smart devices. Your background might include work with mobile systems, embedded automation platforms, or multi-agent coordination tools.
What You’ll Do
- Design and maintain software for field-deployed autonomous platforms, including control systems, telemetry, and mission execution
- Develop simulation and orchestration tools to support hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing
- Collaborate with hardware vendors to onboard and integrate new platforms
- Work directly with end-users to trial, refine, and deploy advanced automation workflows
- Document and evangelize new capabilities to drive adoption across the business and customer base
- Strong academic background - Degree in Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proven commercial experience delivering production-grade software for automated or autonomous systems
- Strong background in real-time systems, control theory, sensor integration, or edge computing
- Familiarity with testing tools and simulation environments for multi-platform or multi-agent systems
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or TypeScript, and experience with protocols like MAVLink, gRPC, or MQTT
- Bonus points for experience with CAD, embedded firmware, or custom PCB prototyping
- Work on impactful automation solutions used in global operations
